A huge thank you to the Ann Arbor Track Club and the 2026 DXA2 Run for welcoming us back as a charity partner for the 7th year in a row! 🙌 The trail community showed up in a big way, raising over $5,000 in donations to support the B2B Trail through HWPI.

And to our incredible volunteers who brought the Mile 9 magic on the half marathon course, you were fantastic. We are so grateful!

Yesterday’s groundbreaking for the new Border to Border Trail segment connecting the Miller/Smith Preserve to Dexter marked another exciting step toward a more connected Washtenaw County 🌿🚴

This nearly one-mile shared-use trail helps close the gap between Chelsea and Dexter and advances a shared vision for safe, accessible recreation and transportation.

Congratulations to our partners at Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission and City of Dexter on this milestone!

🚵 B2B Trail News 🚶

Leaders from WCPARC, Huron Waterloo Pathways, and the City of Dexter, Michigan - Government, along with several dozen supporters gathered on Thursday, May 14, for the groundbreaking of a new Border to Border Trail segment. This new segment will connect the Miller/Smith Preserve, just west of Parker Road, directly into the City of Dexter. It represents nearly a mile of new non-motorized shared-use trail and continues our vision of linking communities across Washtenaw County through safe, accessible outdoor recreation and transportation opportunities.

This project is especially meaningful because it closes another important gap between Chelsea and Dexter. Once completed, only one remaining segment—between Dancer Road and Lima Center Road—will remain in this section of the trail corridor.
