Back-to-school season is a reminder that learning and growth happen at every stage of life.

Many adults experiencing homelessness are also students themselves, continuing their education, learning new skills, or working toward personal and professional goals. At the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, we recognize the many paths people take toward stability and support everyone working toward their goals.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Art Fair Parking Fundraiser a success! 💙

Together, we raised $5,000 to support adults experiencing homelessness in Washtenaw County.

In these photos, you'll see Mike and Kashish from Harvest Mission Community Church volunteering at our office location, along with SAWC volunteers Esther and Ziggy at our First Merchants Bank parking site. We're so grateful for their time, energy, and dedication, as well as the many other volunteers and community partners who helped make this fundraiser possible.

Thank you for making a difference in our community!

🚪 Hold the door
😊 Share a smile or kind word
🤝 Volunteer your time

At the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, we see every day how compassion and connection help build a stronger community.

What act of kindness will you share this week? 💙

What is case management? Case management is a personalized approach to helping someone work toward stable housing.

At the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, case managers work one-on-one with individuals to understand their unique goals, identify barriers to housing, and create a plan for moving forward. That might include connecting someone with income assistance, documentation support, healthcare, community resources, or housing applications.

Every journey is different, and case management helps ensure each person receives support that meets their individual needs.

Every day, adults in our community turn to the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County for safe shelter, support, and a path toward stable housing.

Your generosity helps make that possible.

Whether it's $10, $25, or a gift of any size, every donation helps provide essential resources and support for adults working toward a brighter future.

Together, we're building pathways home.
