풍성한 한가위 되세요! 🌕
Wishing you a joyful and abundant Chuseok.

추석은 한 해의 풍요에 감사하며 가족과 함께 정을 나누는 우리 고유의 명절입니다.
송편을 빚고, 보름달을 바라보며, 서로의 안녕과 행복을 기원합니다.

Chuseok is a traditional Korean holiday when families gather to give thanks for the year’s abundance and share warmth and love. Making songpyeon, admiring the full moon, and wishing for one another’s happiness are some of its cherished traditions.

Happy Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving)🌕🍚

As one of Korea's two biggest annual holidays, Chuseok falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, which is Sept. 25 this year.

This three-day holiday is a time to express gratitude for the year's harvest and share a bountiful meal with family.

Typical activities include performing ancestral rites, visiting graves and enjoying traditional treats like 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘱𝘺𝘦𝘰𝘯 (half-moon rice cakes).

Best wishes for Chuseok from Korea.net!

KASGAA (Korean American Society of Greater Ann Arbor) members gathered together to share ideas and start planning for another meaningful and exciting year ahead!

A special thank you to our new members, Erica and Audrey, who couldn’t join us in person but participated via Zoom and shared so many creative ideas with us. We really appreciated your time and input! 💕

And of course, no gathering is complete without a little celebration! 🎂 We took a moment to sing Happy Birthday to **Alice unni and Dave** and celebrate them together. 🥳❤️

So grateful for everyone who gives their time, energy, and ideas to our KASGAA community. Looking forward to what we can accomplish together in 2027! ✨

Presented by the Korean American Society of Greater Ann Arbor (KASGAA)

Before the games begin, we'll kick off our celebration with Gukmin Chejo (국민체조)—Korea's National Exercise!

Introduced in 1977, Gukmin Chejo became a familiar part of school life and community events for generations of Koreans. For many, the music and movements bring back cherished childhood memories.

This year, we'd love to share this unique tradition with everyone as a fun Korean cultural experience before our games begin. Whether you're Korean or experiencing it for the very first time, we invite you to join us!

✨ No experience needed!
Just follow along, have fun, and celebrate with us.
