John's University in Queens, New York, Sigma Sigma Rho (ΣΣP) was the first sorority of its kind to be established on the East Coast. Inspiring unity amongst women, serving communities, and instilling a sense of individual pride in its members, Sigma Sigma Rho is dedicated to the virtues of Sisterhood, Society and Remembrance. A network of women working for personal and professional development, we

strive for academic excellence and for the betterment of local, national and global communities. Our motto is, "Sisterhood is what we work for, Society is whom we give to, and Remembrance is what lies in our hearts." Since its inception, Sigma Sigma Rho has made strides in fostering cultural awareness, and acting as a valuable asset to the Greek Life community at universities across the nation. In the Spring of 2014, four Distinguished ladies came together to start Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority Incorporated at the University of Michigan

On December 10th, 2017, Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Incorporated at the University of Michigan was awarded TAU CHAPTER STATUS.

The sisters of Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. Tau Chapter are looking forward to participating in this year's Be The Change initiative! We will be holding a canned food drive and donating all items to Food Gatherers, an Ann Arbor organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and food insecurity in the community. If you are able to donate any items, please use the link below to sign up so we can coordinate a time to pick up your donation before Tuesday, October 20th! Please fill out the form by Thursday, October 15th at midnight eastern time!

The Sisters of Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. Tau Chapter are committed to supporting the current Black Lives Matter movement as we strive for a more just, equal future for our country. To stand by those who are protesting, we are conducting a fundraiser for the Detroit Justice Center (Detroit, MI) and Public Goods (Minneapolis, MN). We have chosen these community-based orgs because of their dedication to promoting racial equality in these cities, and are currently carrying out efforts to support those who are marching.

We have included each organization's mission statement as well as a link to their website for more information about their goals and initiatives. We encourage those who are able to donate, either directly on the respective website or by venmoing with the name of the organization you would like to give to. We thank you all in advance for your support and solidarity for this imperative movement.
