Are you interested in spending a day volunteering in Detroit? DP Day is a day of service learning for University of Michigan students! DP Day volunteers will go to Detroit and work on tasks to address community-identified needs, such as blight-removal and community revitalization. Additionally, for the “learning” component of service learning, volunteers will attend a pre-DP Day volunteer orientation, as well as reflect on their service during DP Day. This event is a chance for participants to learn more about Detroit and service learning, and engage with great organizations working to make change happen!

Happy New Year!

Are you (or anyone you know) interested in furthering your understanding of service learning and contributing to DP’s mission while building new skill-sets? If so, consider applying to DP’s Finance and/or Major Events teams! The Finance team manages all tasks related to funding, budgeting, and fundraising for our operations, and the Major Events team plans and executes DP’s large service events. No prior experience with our organization is needed, and more information about the roles is available in the application (due January 21st)! The application can be found linked below. Hey everyone- The Detroit Partnership Planning Team application is now open! We’re inviting students at Michigan to apply for a leadership opportunity within DP. We have openings on our 6 sub-teams that make up our larger Planning Team. These teams are Community, Major Events, Finance, Education, Marketing & Outreach, and Internal. In particular, we are looking for a qualified individual to serve as director for our finance team. This is a great way to get more involved in The Detroit Partnership and gain leadership experience!
