As we close out another school year, we’re reflecting on the incredible impact of the MJRF Champions Program since its launch in 2023.

✨ 2,142 students reached
✨ 85 team presentations delivered
✨ 81 follow-ups provided

These numbers represent real students, real conversations, and real opportunities to support mental health, reduce stigma, and build stronger school communities.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited about what’s ahead. This summer, we’ll be hard at work strengthening our program, enhancing our resources, and preparing to reach even more students during the 2026–2027 school year.

Dear Miles,

A part of me died with you nine years ago. I remember my initial nightmare, that I caused you to leave us.  I was frightened that your brothers would blame me. Dad too.  But somehow, our family has made it through the darkness of those early days with love and kindness to one another.

We are strong together and each one of us is honoring you in different ways.  We laugh and smile as we remember you now. We have dinner together and speak of you in a way that feels like you are almost with us at the table. I see parts of you in each of us. I feel your presence inside of me.

I know a program like MJRF would have given you a better chance to still be with us.  That is a light that keeps me going and keeps you alive in my heart, my mind, and my soul. I love you and I know I will see you again.

Champs in Action✨ The school year may end, but our work doesn’t. Our Champions spend countless hours collaborating, networking, creating resources, and building meaningful guides centered around mental well-being and su***de prevention for students in our community.

Every conversation, meeting, and idea is driven by one goal: creating a stronger support system for youth who need it most.

We are committed to making each year impactful, building a community where students feel supported, connected, and never alone. As we gear up for next year, we would like to shoutout all of our champions and support staff who put so much hard work into this program. THANK YOU!💙✨

Growth means listening, learning, and evolving. Since the beginning, the mission of the Miles Jeffrey Roberts Foundation has been to empower youth athletic communities to promote mental well-being and su***de prevention.

As we’ve grown, so has our understanding of the needs within our communities. Today, we are proud to share an updated mission that expands our impact.

Our updated mission is to empower students to care for their mental well-being and foster collective action to prevent su***de.

While our mission has evolved, our heart remains the same: creating hope, connection, awareness, and support for young people.

We are proud to share that the 2026 Mullets for Miles Event and Contest received 138 donations and raised a total of $26,998.00 for our MJRF Champions Program! We are beyond grateful for the Mullets for Miles community that came together to make this event possible. To our donors, thank you for supporting all of the boys who advocated for mental well-being and su***de prevention with their mullet; your love and support blew us away! To the Hair Spot and Pretzel Bell, thank you for hosting this event and making the mullet vision come alive. We are eternally grateful for you all.

And to our 2026 Mullet King, , who raised an incredible $19,115, thank you for all of your hard work, determination, and dedication to create a space where the community can come together and help spread our mission. This event is one of our favorites! 👑✂️💚

Mental health matters in every arena. 💙🏒

We’re proud to have Maggie Kime running the Dexter-Ann Arbor Half Marathon for Team MJRF, using her platform as a college athlete to bring awareness, compassion, and hope to those facing mental health battles. Her words are a reminder that you never truly know what someone else may be carrying and that showing up for one another matters.

Not interested in running but would like to get involved? We need more volunteers to man our water station so head to the Dexter to Ann Arbor Website (https://dxa2.com) if you are interested & register for Mile 8! If Mile 8 fills up, feel free to sign up elsewhere but note that you are volunteering for MJRF.
