👨‍🚒 Fire Officer II
📍 Washington Township Fire Department

Yesterday, RAFT wrapped up Fire Officer II in Washington Township with another great group of students.

As the second part of our Fire Officer series, this course builds on the foundation established in Fire Officer I and takes leadership and management skills to the next level. Moving beyond the company-level officer, students focused on the responsibilities of the station or multiple-company officer, including leadership, community risk reduction, administrative communications, fire cause determination, and managing major incidents.

Congratulations to this group of students on completing Fire Officer II!

🔥 Live Fire Instructor In Charge
📍 York County Regional Training Center | Alfred, Maine

During this two-day course, students covered pre-burn planning, water supply and flow calculations, safety and instructor assignments, environmental considerations, accountability, and pre- and post-burn evaluation — then put that knowledge into practice as the Instructor In Charge during a supervised live fire evolution.

Great work by this group putting their knowledge and skills into practice!

A special thank you to Director Roger Hooper for bringing RAFT to York County!
