Tomorrow, Tues 3/18, from 3:30-5:00 in 1655 SPH1, we're hosting a Negotiations Workshop (free food from La Marsa) at the School of Public Health, led by an expert from the Ross School of Business.

Our expert will:

Discuss the principles of negotiations
Cover intercultural conflicts
Provide useful handouts
Lead a practice negotiation exercise

This workshop will be a great resource for both domestic and international students.

Free food will be catered by La Marsa.

AAPHA invites all students to participate in a resume and cover letter building workshop on Tuesday, February 18 at 3:00 PM in 1655 SPH I, led by Shelagh Saenz, Director of Career Development. RSVP for the "Build an Effective Resume and Cover Letter" workshop through Career Connection.

Resumes and cover letters are important tools in the job search. However, students sometimes have more difficulty in writing their resume and cover letter due to formatting, lack of experience, or English being a second language.

This workshop will address:

- Practical tips for strengthening applications for job, research fellowships, and internships
- Additional tips for international students applying to domestic positions.

Please bring a copy of your cover letter and resume.

Come hear Dr. Janilla Lee discuss her work in chronic diseases among the Asian American population. She will discuss the best ways to promote better self-management care for chronic diseases, which is applicable to all populations!

Dr. Lee is the Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Center-Southeast Michigan, a community health organization serving Asian Americans in Southeast Michigan. She is also a research scientist at the Program for Multi-Cultural Health, University of Michigan Health System. She has a wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience to share with anyone interested in community health!

AAPHA is hosting all-you-can-eat hot pot this Thursday at 7pm in 3755 in the School of Public Health (SPH 1).
