From LAIA Resident Andrea Lueken:

My name is Andrea Lueken. I’ve been living here, in our beautiful neighborhood for twelve years. I’ve enjoyed getting to know many of you and love the sense of community that is here.

Last Spring, our home suffered a huge loss. Thankfully, we’re doing fine. I am doing everything in my power to reclaim our loss and prevent a similar loss from happening to any other resident. As a Scio resident, I have reached out to my Michigan State Representative, Carrie Rheingans. She is having a coffee at the Ann Arbor Westgate Library this Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 11 AM to Noon. If you have any concerns, I hope you will join me this Saturday.

I am aware that many of our residents are not served by Rep. Rheingans. For those of you who reside in Webster Township, please feel free to come. I know that both Representatives communicate regularly.

Hope to see you there.
Andrea Lueken

West Loch Alpine Drive Road Work May 23

The contractor has given late notice of fog seal work tomorrow on West Loch Alpine Drive. The schedule is dependent on weather, as this sealing cannot be done if it rains. Work may begin as early as 7:00 am and continue as late as 6:00 pm.

The road will remain open during the work as the road is seal-coated one side at a time, and the opposite side can be traveled on. Traffic will be permitted on one side of the road until the seal coat has cured. Fog seal top coat requires 1-2 hours minimal cure time.

If you live on West Loch Alpine Drive and need to use your car during these hours, you can use the uncured side of the road, driving over new fog seal slowly to enter the dried side of the road.

The LAIA Roads Committee regrets this late notice from the contractor. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Brian McCall by phone at 426-4546 or by email at [email protected].
