Jonathan Morris Volunteering also provides opportunities to be living examples of primary values to our children: love, service, self-giving, responsibility. The children see these values put into action. They experience the fruit of our labor-an ongoing testament to our love for them. Volunteering transforms our spirits. We are the beneficiaries of the Volunteer’s Promise: you’ll receive much mor

e than you give! Every time we enter the school, we receive our payment-satisfaction and joy knowing we have contributed to creating a beautiful learning environment for the kids.

Check out the Ann Arbor Journal interview! Just finished the P4K project at Northside Elementary. It was very successful and we finished a day ahead of time! A win/win for all-especially the children.

For a number of months, I have been praying for more publicity to promote the program and, without my asking, the Principal arranged for a reporter from the Journal to stop by for an interview! The Lord is Good!

March 7: Update announcement!

Bob Anderson, owner and president of Anderson Paint in Ann Arbor, has agreed to be on the Board of Directors of Paint for Kids!

Randy Trent, Director of Facilities for AAPS, has also agreed to be a member of the Board!

I have a meeting scheduled in early April with the local chapter of the PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors Association) a national, professional organization for painting contractors. I'm hoping they will become a partner with Paint for Kids. They would be a tremendous resource for recruiting contractors to supervise school projects throughout the state and even beyond. They would also add credence to Paint for Kids because of their lofty reputation.

I'm meeting regularly with an attorney with Foley and Lardner LLP, a law firm in Detroit with offices around the country, to form the non-profit. They are providing the service "pro bono".

The Lord is blessing us! Keep us in your prayers. Thank you for your support--
the children will be reap the benefit! You make a difference!

I need some help. I'm trying to spread the word about P4K. The more buzz there is, the easier it will be to start-up the non-profit: Board members, fundraising, demand from other school districts. Friends of friends of friends etc. The children, schools, parents and the community will benefit! Thanks

P4K photos are from Bach Elementary. I give elastic wristbands to each of the volunteers and encourage them to continue to "make a difference" by living lives of love and self-giving even when "no one notices".
