Continuing on the trail, travelers reach the final Treeline segment, Wolverine Way, built entirely by the University of Michigan as part of its new Wolverine Village complex.

Passing Elbel Field, the route continues to move through campus toward Michigan Stadium, linking campus life, game day traditions, neighborhoods, and downtown.

The Treeline is an investment in Ann Arbor's future. A safer way to move, a greener way to grow, and an environmental and economic opportunity for generations to come.

As travelers continue to pass through the Gateway segment of the Treeline, the trail comes down to street level on North Main. Landing at what was once the city's maintenance yard, trail users arrive at a new public park built from that old industrial space.

Continuing on F***h, travelers pass the Ann Arbor Distilling Company and enter the Neighborhood segment of the Treeline. Here, the trail links homes, parks, schools, businesses, and existing bike routes in the heart of Ann Arbor.

Heads up, trail users 🌲 The City Of Ann Arbor is temporarily closing a section of the B2B Trail near Argo Dam next week for repairs — right where the Treeline will one day connect in. Make sure to plan alternate routes before heading out.

Border to Border Trail Huron Waterloo Pathways

Temporary Closure of Border to Border Trail in Bandemer Park
A section of the Border-to-Border Trail in Bandemer Park will be temporarily closed beginning the week of Aug. 3 for up to two weeks (weather permitting) while repairs are completed to several areas of the pathway between Lake Shore Drive and the Argo Dam Bridge. These improvements will help maintain this popular segment of trail and ensure a safer experience for bicyclists, pedestrians and all trail users. Please seek alternate routes. The Treeline's Gateway segment rises above Depot, Summit, and North Main — a corridor carrying nearly 30,000 cars each day. Below, traffic coming off M14 passes nearly nonstop through the intersection, with almost half of those cars turning down Depot for the medical complex.

The Gateway's signature bridge brings travelers safely and effortlessly over the congestion, transforming what was once a barrier into a moment of connection between downtown and the riverfront.

Visitors to Gallup Park may notice trucks and crews working near the US-23 bridge over the Huron River this week. Contractors working on behalf of Department of Transportation are conducting freshwater mussel relocation activities in advance of the future reconstruction of the US-23 bridge. To access the work area, a small number of vehicles will travel along the @ and be parked off to the side beneath the bridge during daytime hours only. The trail will remain open. Crews will use safety measures, including spotters, slow-moving vehicles, and traffic cones, to help ensure pedestrian and cyclist safety.

Tonight is Bike Night at Ann Arbor Summer Festival: Top of the Park! 🚲

Head over to The Annex anytime from 5:30–8:00 PM to experience all that the Bike Pavilion has to offer. You'll find it marked as "G" on the map, located on Ingalls Mall, just south of the fountain. Use 915 E. Washington St. for GPS — and note that North University Ave. and 4th Ave. are both closed due to construction.

Stop by for bike maintenance help, a chance to learn about local trails and community programs (including Urban Rider Cargo Bikes' Borrow a Cargo Bike program!), and more — rain or shine, under the pavilion tent. Come find us:

The community can drop by the complimentary bike tune up station at Ann Arbor Summer Festival: Top of the Park on June 16 and 23 from 5:30–8:00pm. It is a great opportunity to get your bike ready for summer commuting!

We're excited to join The Annex: Bike Pavilion by Common Cycle at Top of the Park on Tuesday, June 16, from 5:30–8:00 PM. The Annex (just south of the fountain on Ingalls Mall) will transform into a one-stop spot for all things pedal-powered — with volunteer mechanics on hand to help with maintenance basics like fixing a flat, oiling your chain, and checking your brakes.

While you're there, stop by our table to learn more about the Treeline and how it'll connect people, places, and experiences across Ann Arbor.

We'll be sharing the space with some great local partners, including University of Michigan's Wolverines on Wheels, Bicycle Alliance of Washtenaw (with Urban Rider Cargo Bikes who will be promoting the Borrow a Cargo Bike program!), and A2 Joy Rides / Cycling Without Age (don't miss their new trishaw!).

Ann Arbor Summer Festival: Top of the Park

Today marks the first day of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival: Top of the Park, a beloved Ann Arbor tradition bringing live music, world-class performers, and weeks of summer fun for the whole community.

We'd like to take this time to spotlight our board member Michael Michelon, who serves as Executive Director of this annual event. Under Michael's leadership, A2SF has grown into a true cultural cornerstone for our community, and he brings that same vision and community-building energy to the Treeline board, helping us think big about how the trail can connect people, places, and experiences across Ann Arbor.

We're also excited to announce that the Treeline Conservancy will make its first-ever appearance at the festival on Tuesday, June 16, from 5:30–8:00 PM at the Annex Tent. More details to follow 🌲
