Thank you to the volunteer crew from NSF, who helped us with w**ding and general landscaping at our Stimson Apartments. They removed a whopping 1,000 pounds of compostable materials, all while keeping the milkw**d plants in tact for the butterflies! Thanks so much, we appreciate you!

Avalon's offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Residents can call 734-369-9338 for maintenance requests, and rent checks can be put in the drop box at our HQ, 1327 Jones Drive.

Avalon staff and supporters gathered yesterday to bid farewell to Executive Director Aaron Cooper -- we will miss you, and wish you the best in sunny Florida! Board president Cryss Campbell thanked Aaron for his service, and Aaron was also honored by Cmdr. John Dunlap of the Ann Arbor Police Department for his time on the police oversight board, and by Georgia Frost from U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell's office. Good luck Aaron! (And thanks to the Elk's Lodge for hosting!)

We're very excited to announce that Molly Smith, Director of Services, and Scott Ellis, Director of Mission Advancement, will serve as interim co-Executive Directors of Avalon Housing while we conduct a search for a permanent leader. These two talented and trusted leaders will step in when Aaron Cooper departs on May 21, and lead Avalon toward our next chapter. Read more:
