Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. We recognize and honor the lived experiences of the African American and Black communities, and continue to support the building of a more just and equitable future for all.

Thank you to the JCC Staff, Board, and community members for a great year, and a warm welcome to our new board members! We can't wait to see what the coming year holds for the JCC.

Our first Spotlight to Summer last Tuesday was a total success! With over 230 people in attendance, we honored Leslie Bash, a pillar of our community, enjoyed magic and music by Sidney Friedman, and celebrated 40 years of the Ann Arbor JCC.

Thank you to the staff at our incredible venue, The Kensington Hotel, to Milk & Honey/Epic Kosher Catering for the delicious kosher food, to Designs that Matter for the beautiful decorations, to Paul Stoloff Photography for capturing the memories on camera, and to all of our generous sponsors who made this event happen.
