What an unexpected surprise, to brighten up a rainy Thursday!! Junior League of Ann Arbor, Inc. member, Gemma Muldoon, paid us a surprise visit this morning to present Peace with a certificate of appreciation in honor of "Find the Good Day" - for all the good that Peace has done in the community over the years. We're so grateful for this recognition, and blessed to have such thoughtful and amazing community partners! 🌹🌞

Attention—Peace Closed for Staff Meeting!
Peace Neighborhood Center, the Peace HUB Community Center, and our Satellite Centers (West Arbor, Maple Meadows, and Baker Commons) will be closed from noon until 3:30 PM today, Wednesday, September 9th, for our Fall Staff Meeting.

A reminder that Weekly Food Distribution returns to Peace tomorrow, Friday, September 4th, from 8:30 - 11:30 AM!

Local individuals and families are welcome to stop by Peace's main Ann Arbor facility at 1111 North Maple Road to choose from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other food items such as bread, desserts, and healthy snacks.

What began as a temporary voucher-based program in 2011, now serves on average over 40 families/households each week. We're grateful to our partners at Food Gatherers for helping us meet this need!

We're thrilled to announce the successful launch of our "Reading Champions" Pilot Program this summer! With targeted literacy interventions, we've seen remarkable improvements in students' reading skills, confidence, and overall engagement in learning. 📖✏️

As we prepare for the September 14th start of our Fall After-School Programs, we're still recruiting volunteer tutors to help make a difference in our young learners' lives!

Interested in helping a child succeed in school this year? Peace is currently recruiting volunteers to tutor students in grades k-12 in our After-School Programs. Volunteers must be in 9th grade or older, and are asked to make a minimum commitment to meet with a student at least once a week.

Tutoring orientation sessions are taking place at Peace on:
● Tuesday September 3rd @ 5:30 PM
● Wednesday September 9th @ 5:30 PM
