Africaidum AfricAid at the University of Michigan helps give young women in Tanzania hope for a brighter future and a fighting chance for a meaningful education.

The University of Michigan Chapter of AfricAid provides young Tanzanian girls with the opportunity to attend secondary school. We fund-raise to provide scholarships for the girls and we communicate with the girls we sponsor via the Kisa Project. Our profile can be seen at http://kisaproject.org/view/university-michigan.

Dear University of Michigan,

I hope that this letter finds you well. Back to my side am doing great. And my studies are going well.

My name is Jazline John Lekule from Tanzania. I am a girl of 19 years old. Am in High level at Weruweru Secondary School taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

I firstly get to know KISA at 2014 my first year in Weruweru Secondary School as one among the clubs which are found in this school. I get interested to join the club because it involves fighting for girls rights and make us believe in ourselves that we are capable of making changes in our communities. Currently we are doing project which will be conducted in our communities for two days. Myself am doing the project concerning Malaria as it is the most killing disease in Africa especially children under five years old and pregnant women.

I would like to comment that you should keep on sponsoring KISA project as it is the project which raise the capability confidence and leadership skills of many girls in our country. I wish to see your help making KISA project grow country wide so as we get as many educated and responsible women leaders in our country who will be able to fight for the rights of their other women and girls.

Thank you a lot for being a part of this project so as to raise girls capability. We really appreciate your help us KISA scholars of Weruweru Secondary School in general. I wish to hear back from you soon.

Yours Sincerely
Jazline John Lekule
