THE GAME-WINNING DRIVE THAT SILENCED SOUTH BEND 〽️

1994: Trailing No. 3 Notre Dame 24-23 in the final minute in South Bend, Todd Collins escaped pressure and connected with Seth Smith to move Michigan into field-goal range.

Moments later, Remy Hamilton drilled a 42-yard field goal to lift No. 6 Michigan to a dramatic 26-24 victory over the Fighting Irish.

Congratulations to FAM Chairman Andy Borowski on receiving the 2026 Ufer Award from Letterwinners MClub 〽️

Andy has poured his heart and soul into leading the Football Alumni of Michigan (FAM), a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the brotherhood that extends far beyond the field and ensuring teammates facing hardship always have support through the Teammate Assistance Program (TAP) Fund.

The Ufer Award recognizes individuals whose enthusiasm, loyalty, and commitment embody the spirit of Michigan Athletics, and few represent those values better than Andy. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Jake Ryan was a familiar sight in opposing backfields. 👀

Michigan dominated Purdue, 44-13, in 2012. That season, Ryan led the Wolverines in total tackles (88), solo tackles (56), sacks (4.5), forced fumbles (4) and tackles for loss (16). His four forced fumbles tied Michigan’s single-season record, while his 16 tackles for loss were tied for third in the Big Ten.

They COMPLETELY FORGOT about Tarik Black 😂

His first career catch at Michigan went for a 46-yard touchdown against Florida and marked Michigan’s first touchdown of the 2017 season.

Black has turned heads in the UFL this year and was back with the Michigan Football family last November, helping distribute hundreds of Thanksgiving meals alongside current student-athletes and fellow former players at Champions Circle’s Turkey Drive.

One of the most dramatic wins in program history…

Michigan trailed 23-15 with 1:35 left before Elvis Grbac found Derrick Walker for a touchdown. Then Vada Murray recovered the onside kick and J.D. Carlson DRILLED a 24-yarder with one second left.

UCLA had one last play. IT DIDN’T MATTER. Michigan wins 24-23 in Los Angeles.

Tommy Hendricks changed The Game. 〽️

With Ohio State threatening to take a two-score lead, Hendricks stormed into the backfield and sacked Steve Bellisari, forcing a fumble near the goal line.

Michigan seized the momentum and rallied for a 24–17 win over the Buckeyes in 1999.

A three-year starter, First Team All-Big Ten selection, and member of Michigan's 1997 national championship team, Hendricks finished his career with 222 tackles in the Maize and Blue.

NEW: Rick Leach and Tripp Welborne are on the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame ballot for the first time.

Leach remains one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Michigan history, while Welborne was one of the nation’s elite defensive backs.

Both left lasting marks on Michigan Football.
