Ohio State legend and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Katie Smith joined Wolverines and Buckeyes at the Big Game Rivalry Shootout in Youngstown.

A two-time WNBA champion and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Katie shares her perspective on the rivalry and what makes bringing Michigan and Ohio State together so special.

FAM and Beyond the Goal Line joined forces through the event, bringing former players from both sides of the rivalry together for a shared purpose.

The rivalry will always be there. So will the respect.

Michigan Football’s Jordan Marshall shares how perspective, gratitude and leaning on the people around him help keep him mentally grounded. 🧠〽️

After dealing with the pressure to perform and losing two state championships in high school, Jordan explains how a conversation with his coach helped him rediscover why he loves football and appreciate the journey that comes with it.

Now, he tries to stay mindful every time he steps on the field, remembering the people who came before him, the relationships he’s built and that you never know when it could be your last snap.

FAM is committed to supporting the mental health and wellness of Michigan Football players, both during their time in Ann Arbor and long after their playing days are over.

“Not everybody comes through this in one piece, and some guys struggle.” - Glen Steele 〽️

Michigan Football great and All-American Glen Steele joined fellow Wolverines and Buckeyes at the Big Game Rivalry Shootout in Youngstown, coming together for something bigger than the rivalry.

Glen reflects on the respect between former rivals and the opportunity to reconnect with players he competed against years ago.

More importantly, he shares why the mission behind the event matters. FAM and Beyond the Goal Line joined forces to raise money and help former players who may be struggling or in need of support.

As Glen puts it, some of those struggles can go unnoticed, making it even more important to be there for our brothers on both sides.

A familiar spot for the Wolverines. 👀〽️

In 2015, Michigan headed to Minnesota one week after suffering a heartbreaking last-second loss to Michigan State.

The Wolverines bounced back in a thriller, with Jehu Chesson catching two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score from Wilton Speight in the fourth quarter, to help Michigan retain the Little Brown Jug with a 29-26 win.

11 years later, Michigan heads to Minnesota again, once again looking to bounce back from a last-second Big Ten loss.

Michigan Football legend Braylon Edwards shares how routine, discipline and structure help keep him mentally grounded. 🧠〽️

From starting his morning at 5:45 to going to the gym, praying, stretching and working out, Braylon explains why having a consistent routine has become key to his mental health as he’s gotten older.

FAM is committed to supporting the mental health and wellness of Michigan Football players, both during their time in Ann Arbor and long after their playing days are over.

As Braylon puts it: “Mental health is wealth.”

〽️ DB Legend Dwight Hicks: “Anytime you get a chance to compete against your former rivals, break bread and do something for a great cause, this is what life is about.”

A captain of Michigan’s 1977 Big Ten Championship team and First-Team All-Big Ten defensive back, Hicks went on to become a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion with the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, Hicks is alongside fellow Wolverines and Buckeyes at the inaugural Big Game Rivalry Shootout in Youngstown, coming together for something bigger than the rivalry.

FAM and Beyond the Goal Line joined forces through the event to support former players and teammates who may need a helping hand.

As Dwight explains, the rivalry is real, but so is the respect. The event gives former rivals a chance to reconnect, break bread and raise money for a great cause.

Hear from Dwight on competing in The Game, reconnecting with former teammates and opponents, and the cause bringing both sides together.
