❤️ URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! ❤️

Look at this handsome boy! 🥺 He is currently sitting at the shelter, and I believe his stray hold has now expired. Unfortunately, he has tested heartworm positive, which makes finding him a safe place to go even more important.

The good news? He is a very friendly boy and does well with other dogs! 🐶❤️ found out he is also great with cats!

We would love to find a foster who is willing to open their home to him and help him through his heartworm treatment. His veterinary care will be handled through Ann Arbor, so we will need a foster who is able to travel there for his appointments and treatment.

Heartworm treatment is a process, but these dogs deserve the chance to get through it and have the happy, healthy life they were meant to have. Foster homes are especially important for heartworm-positive dogs because treatment requires restricted activity and close monitoring.

This little agent of chaos is ready to find his forever home!

Buddy is smart, handsome, mischievous, and ready to party 20/7 - he’s pretty chill (& snuggly) for those other four hours 🤪 He loves other playful dogs, is crate trained, and about 75% potty trained. He enjoys being outside and going for walks, even in the rain.

I’m not quite sure what his mix is but I’m guessing he’ll be medium - large (50ish?) pounds, and potentially has some beagle, GSP and/or lab, and maybe a herding breed in there??

He is one of the mouthier puppies I’ve had come through and is working on when that is and isn’t appropriate so kids 7 & up is recommended. He does well with cats that don’t run, but would probably chase a cat that does, and so would require a proper slow intro and “leave it” reinforcement.

If you’re an active person or family looking for an adventure buddy(pun intended), this dude might be the perfect fit for you!

Iosco County (Tawas), MI - 3 hrs north of Ann Arbor

Hi my name is Sammy. I’m aprox. seven, eight years old and don’t act my age. I came in with no hair at all on my back and really itchy and I had a yeast infection in my ears. The nice ladies have fixed me right up. I feel so good, they even cut my nails TWO times and my feet feel a whole lot better. I do get the zoomies when I’m happy so watch this old lady show you how it’s done. I do have a problem with sharing my chair or lap with other dogs. So maybe I should be the only lap sitter in your house. I don’t care how big they are it’s my lap. I eat hard dog food and my teeth are very strong.
