For our May meeting, Pat Langs an Instuctor in the Ikenobo School taught a lesson in using grass in freestyle arrangements. Pat demonstrated how to make an arrangement in a low moribana that is naturalistic or a stylized arrangement that complements the design of the vase. We also held a silent auction for a chapter fundraiser which added some fun to the day.

On March 1, members of both the Detroit and Ann Arbor chapters will once again exhibit at the annual Hinamatsuri (Girls Day) celebration taking place at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
An ikebana workshop, kintsugi demonstration, tea ceremony, and koto music are only some of the events happening!
