TYH would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for their generous $500 donation. This gift will help provide meals for families at St. Joe’s Family Emergency Shelter, a place that is incredibly dear to our hearts.

We would also like to recognize Walls of Books for their generous donation of numerous books in both English and Spanish for the shelter.

We love our partnership with Catholic Charities, Des Moines Diocese Emergency Family Shelter!

Meet the TYH Humanitarian Foundation. The TYH Foundation is a continual supporter of the Catholic Charities Emergency Family Shelter. What began as a volunteer opportunity and a shelter tour has grown into much more. Today, the TYH Foundation delivers weekly fresh fruits, veggies, and meats to help nourish our shelter guests.

“We are very small, but we are very committed to staying with the Catholic Charities Emergency Family Shelter and helping as much as we can,” said Jan Kuhl, CEO and one of the founding members of the TYH Foundation. “Generosity is small acts of kindness, giving hope to people in need, and that is what the shelter does every day for those families.”
