Pokagon State Park is accepting applications for seasonal TOBOGGAN LABORERS for the 2026-2027 Toboggan season. Interviews begin in early November. This is a seasonal position, lasting from November 21, 2026 through February 28, 2027. Pay starts at $14.25 per hour.

Applicants must be available Saturdays and Sundays, as well as during the winter holiday break. This position also requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and repeatedly lifting 50 pounds. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have reliable transportation.

Our Spooky Night Hike is back for 2026! Follow a lantern lit Trail 3 full of spooky surprises. Keep your eyes open as the forest comes alive at night. Enjoy donuts and c***r (available by donation) at this kid-friendly, self-guided hike. Donations go to Friends of Pokagon to support Pokagon State Park programs. This year’s c***r is sponsored by Stroh Orchard.

Start at: Potawatomi Inn Parking Lot
Trail 3: 2.2 miles, moderate difficulty
Bring: flashlight (red light recommended)

Don’t forget the Star Gazing Party is tonight. The Michiana Astronomical Society telescopes are set up. We’ve had fun making constellation crafts and handing out mints at the Friends table. Swing by the CCC Shelter for a stellar night.
