Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris and Brazoria County is a combination of two 501(c)3 non profit organizations dedicated to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, graduate and prepare for life. CIS programs are designed to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged youth by providing services that revolve primarily around education and are geared toward drop

out prevention, high school graduation, classroom behavior and participation, higher classroom grades and testing scores. The CIS program is a multi-disciplinary prevention program that increases each at-risk student participant's opportunity to be successful in school by improving attendance, academic performance and behavior and increasing the stay in school rate (decreasing the dropout rate). Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Belief Statement:
Communities In Schools believes that transformative relationships are key to unlocking a student’s potential. We will succeed by including in our strategies, ingraining in our culture, and reflecting in our behaviors, principles and practices of diversity, equity and inclusion.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with a wonderful community partner who generously purchased clothing for some of our students. Our counselor and CIS Site Coordinator at Sam Houston Elementary, were proud to work together to make sure these students received items they needed.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping us surround them with a community of support. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference!
