Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! As we complete a few special deliveries this morning, To Make a Child Smile Foundation is humbled by the successful completion of its 2025 Christmas mission. The outpouring of support from individuals and businesses in the community was abundant and appreciated. The teamwork that enabled this outreach was just incredible, everyone involved was so united in our mission. We are thankful for every person that made it happen. From the folks that joined us for the BBQ plate sale, our donors and sponsors, and especially our volunteers- you made this happen and we appreciate you so much! A special thank you for our shopping day “Christmas Elves” - our chaperones. Thank you to Southern Express for the busses, Walmart for rolling out the red carpet, Carlie C’s of Angier for supporting the food drive, Hardee’s in Angier for the biscuits for the children, Manna Church for lunch and a stuffed animal for each child, CB Banks and Angier Methodist Church for the music and help with putting food boxes together, Seven Sabers Motorcycle Club for volunteering at the school, Carolina Trash & Septic for bringing their box truck to transport all the food donations, Angier Police for our personal es**rt out of town, Harnett County Schools and our Social Workers, Mr and Mrs Santa Claus for bringing all the excitement of Christmas to the children, all the chaperones who took their time to shop with these children. Missy Settlemyre WINGS MINISTRY & Wings Backpacks Full Of Blessings from Shallotte,NC for the donation of back packs & blankets. People helping people is what it’s all about. - We have been blessed to bring some happiness and encouragement to some sweet children and their families this Christmas season. Our paths crossed just the one day, but we will hold these kids and their guardians close in our hearts and prayers throughout the year. We are inspired to continue working toward making a difference and look forward to making an even greater positive impact in our community in 2026. Thank you all again for the generous support. Matthew 19:14: Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We’re so close to reaching our goal of taking 100 children shopping this Christmas and with your help, we’re hoping to bless even more!

This effort is in partnership with our local schools in Harnett County in helping to provide a joyful Christmas for children who need it most.

To Make a Child Smile is working with our local schools in Harnett County to identify children in need. On Sunday, December 21st, we’ll take these children Christmas shopping, and our goal is to provide every family with a box of food to take home and enjoy a warm holiday meal.

We can’t do this without your help! We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items, including canned goods, instant potatoes, rice, pasta, and other pantry staples. Every donation helps make Christmas brighter for a local family in need.

Donations can be dropped off at the Angier Chamber of Commerce, located at 24 East Depot Street, Angier. Thank you for supporting our community and helping to make this holiday season special for children and families across Harnett County!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the BBQ Chicken Fundraiser at the Angier Depot today! We’re so grateful for the many helping hands—those who bought plates and our generous sponsors and donors. Because of you, we’re getting closer to our goal of taking at least 100 less-fortunate children shopping this Christmas. We still need to raise a bit more to reach (and hopefully exceed) that goal.
