Horseback riding may help children with autism better manage behavioral and emotional challenges, according to new research. 🐎

The study provides strong evidence suggesting that therapeutic horseback riding can help reduce hyperactivity in children with autism and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Researchers also found benefits from horse-related activities that don't involve riding, including improvements in emotional regulation and social functioning.

Diva is back !
What happened this week!!

Diva arrived Tuesday at New Bolton. She was able to have her CatScan that afternoon which confirmed she needed the sinoscopy, a sinus surgery to remove any inspissated material that reman in her sinuses. And more dental work.

Weds the 109 tooth was
extracted and a float was performed for the rest of her teeth. I

Thursday the sinoscopy was performed. The ventral co**hal sinus (VCS) is a specific, air-filled cavity within the nasal cavity of horses, forming part of the complex paranasal sinus system. It is the caudal, expanded portion of the ventral co**ha, often referred to as the ventral co**hal bulla. The VCS is a common site for chronic sinusitis, requiring surgical drainage via the rostral maxillary sinus due to its poor gravitational drainage.

Friday she came home !!!
Now she is receiving pain meds for 7 days and antibiotic for 14 days. She gets a vacation from work as they need the incision to heal.

Thank you everyone who has helped with Diva and with her care !!!
