Books For Pastors

Books For Pastors Books for Pastors equips pastors so they can equip their churches. Why is Books For Pastors needed? These points apply to our purposes as well:
1.

Through teaching and reference books, we help pastors minister to their churches and towns more effectively. John Stott wrote a memo in 1999 to his organization to outline his vision. God wants his church to grow up in maturity (not just in numbers);
2. The church grows through God's Word, and
3. The Word of God comes to people primarily (though not exclusively) through biblical preaching.
4. T

herefore, the logical response is to strive to raise the standards of biblical preaching so that the church may grow in maturity and fulfill its mission in the world. The vast majority of church leaders throughout the Majority World (we also know it as the Third World) have never completed high school studies, and obviously never went on to college or Bible School. Many of these pastors have very few if any resources, and no training to know how to use them. Books For Pastors will identify these pastors who will take the Bibles and study books, and put them to use in their churches and communities. John Piper said, “Pastoral and leadership training here in America is like opening another restaurant – there’s one on virtually every corner. On the other hand, pastoral and leadership training throughout the developing world is like opening a lone food bank in the midst of starving people!”

For every book we can provide, 10-12 pastors and leaders will be able to put its teaching to use. By finding and providing sound theology books, pastors can bring sound Biblical teaching to their churches, and help their communities to grow in the Lord. A quick check-in for the shepherds (Español abajo...)

To my pastor friends: We know that the calling to lead is high, but it can also be incredibly heavy. We are currently gathering data to help us build better support for shepherds in Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond.

How often do you feel the weight of pastoral isolation—the sense that you are carrying the burden of the mission alone?
1. Nearly always. It is a heavy, daily reality.
2. More often than I’d like to admit.
3. Occasionally, in certain seasons of stress.
4. Very seldom. I have a solid team and brotherhood.
5. Never. I feel fully connected and supported!

Pastors: Please drop your number (1-5) in the comments. If you're willing, let us know what region you are serving in!

Friends of Pastors: If you love your shepherd, please share this post with them. We want to hear their heart.

3. Ocasionalmente, en ciertas temporadas de estrés.
4. Muy rara vez. Tengo un equipo y una hermandad sólida.
5. ¡Nunca! Me siento totalmente conectado y apoyado.

Pastores: Por favor, dejen su número (1-5) en los comentarios. Si lo desean, ¡cuéntennos en qué región están sirviendo!

Amigos de pastores: Si aman a su pastor, compartan esta publicación con él. Queremos escuchar su corazón.
