Doberman Pinscher Club of the Tappan Zee Licensed by AKC in 1973, founded to serve Doberman fanciers in the area surrounding the Tappan Zee bridge in New York

The Doberman Pinscher Club of the Tappan Zee was founded more than 50 years ago to serve the needs of Doberman owners and breeders in the area surrounding the Tappan Zee bridge in New York. Licensed by the AKC in 1973, we held our first independent specialty in 1975. We continue to hold an independent specialty at the end of October each year. We have added an all breed obedience trial in July to our AKC event schedule. Currently it is one of only two fully active DPCA member clubs in the state.

On Tues June 2 we hosted the WAE in conjunction with the United Doberman Club. It was a long, very hot day. Thanks to Diana KyDon for staying the course & being our shooter. Thanks to the UDC members & friends who volunteered. Thanks to Nate Bonilla who was our very convincing aggressive stranger.
