Open Trap Is Fully Operational at Lawrence Rod & Gun Club

Open Trap is up and running at Lawrence Rod & Gun Club, and we’d love to see you on the line.

Whether you’re an experienced trap shooter or someone who has been thinking about trying trap for the first time, new shooters are always welcome. Our trap community is friendly, supportive, and happy to help newcomers get comfortable.

Our current Open Trap schedule is:

Fridays at 9:00 AM
Saturdays at 12:00 PM
Sundays at 10:00 AM

Effective immediately, Open Trap pricing will be:

Active Club Members: $4 per round
Non-Members: $5 per round

This small price increase is to reflect the increasing cost of clay targets and the day-to-day expenses required to keep the trap field operating safely and consistently.

At the same time, we’re happy to keep pricing the same for active club members at $4 per round. Our goal is to continue offering affordable trap shooting for our members while keeping Open Trap available, welcoming, and accessible to the public.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Lawrence Rod & Gun Club and our trap program. Come out, break some clays, and enjoy a great day at the club.

Join us at Lawrence Rod & Gun Club for a fun and fast-paced Pin Shoot on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 AM!

Whether you're experienced or just getting started, all skill levels are welcome. This is a great chance to test your speed, improve your shooting, and have a great time on the range.

Trap Field Open Tomorrow – 10:00 AM

We’re happy to announce that the trap field will be open for shooting tomorrow starting at 10:00 AM!

A big thank-you goes out to our dedicated crew, who put in a lot of hard work cleaning and getting the trap field ready so everyone can enjoy a safe and great day of shooting. Their effort really makes a difference, and we appreciate it!

We invite all members and guests who would like to join us to come out tomorrow, shoot a few rounds, and enjoy some time at the club. We’d love to see you there.

Key Night Reminder – Monday, February 2nd

Monday, February 2nd is Key Night. Members whose dues are paid in full may attend the meeting and pick up their key. We will be working from a list of paid members.

Please note that memberships not renewed by January 31st will incur a $10.00 late fee.

If you’re unable to attend Key Night, keys will also be available for pickup on the following Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM:

February 7th

February 14th

Members who have paid their dues but did not include a stamped envelope may also pick up their membership cards at that time.

Please be advised:

No membership renewals will be processed on the night of the meeting.

There will be no raffle on Key Night.

Keys will be distributed after the meeting at a cost of $3.00.

Please bring exact change.

Hello everyone!
Just a friendly reminder that our Installation Banquet will be held next Wednesday, January 14th at 6:00 PM at the clubhouse.
This will be our first meeting of the year, and there will be no meeting prior to this event. It’s also a special night for the club, as the Board will be officially sworn in for 2026.

Tickets are $20 each, and a great meal will be served! Dinner will be catered by J Brian’s and includes:

-Sausage mac & cheese
-Chicken wings
-Assorted pastas
-Salad
-Dessert

Tickets are required. Please see Bill Chambers for tickets or give him a call at 978-397-5812. Tickets will be available at the door, but it’s very important that you contact Bill ahead of time so we can get an accurate headcount for the food order. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate anyone who shows up without calling ahead.

This will be the last reminder before the banquet, so please be sure to reach out to Bill if you plan on attending. We hope to see you there as we kick off the new year together!

Membership Update:

The first round of membership ID cards has officially been sent out, so members who have already paid their renewal fee should be receiving their new cards in the mail very soon.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has already renewed. Your continued support truly means a lot and helps keep our club strong.

If you haven’t received a membership ID card and believe you may have been missed, or if you have any questions about your renewal, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help.

As we look ahead to 2026, the Board is actively working on ways to make Lawrence Rod & Gun Club even better, and none of it would be possible without the support of our members.

Huge congratulations to our club member Peter Kidney on harvesting an absolute giant of a deer this week! What an incredible accomplishment, the kind that only comes with patience, skill, and a real love for the outdoors. We couldn’t be prouder of him.
