Catie's Closet provides clothing and necessities to more than 80,000 students, and it all starts at their distribution center. Founder and Executive Director, Mickey Cockrell gave The ALKU Foundation Executive Director, Vanessa Plant and ALKU’s Community Engagement Coordinator II, Elvis Bisono a behind the scenes look.

The ALKU Foundation supported Catie's Closet with a $25,000 gift in 2022 to open a closet at the Francis Leahy School in Lawrence and is currently supporting their efforts with a multi-year $30,000 grant.

The ALKU Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of the Catalyst Fund! An opportunity to deepen our partnership with existing grant partners by awarding larger one-time grants.

BAGLY, Youth Enrichment Services (YES), Uncommon Threads, Girlstart and DOVE, Inc. have been selected to receive the first round of grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. Funding will support projects and sustain their positive impact on the community!
