The Steeple Stitchers have been busy this summer! We've worked on donations of quilt tops for us to finish, as well as Quilts of Valor and many handmade quilts for Homesafe and the fire-displaced. In between all that sewing, some of the ladies get their exercise on quilt-frame construction and getting a Blue ribbon for quilt-making at the county fair! Way to go, Ladies!

🇺🇸 Calling all artists, quilters, and creatives! As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Visit Williamsburg is bringing the nation together one stitch at a time with the creation of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭. 🧵 The goal of this project is to engage people from all over our country to handcraft a powerful tribute to America that can be admired by many generations to come. The finished quilt will be unveiled in Williamsburg in 2026 and put on display at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center.
