For so many families bringing a child home with a tracheostomy or other complex medical needs, finding reliable nursing care can feel overwhelming and hopeless. Hello Nurze is working to change that through their Connection Hub, a free platform where families and nurses can connect and discover one another before formalizing care through the standard system.

The Connection Hub does not replace home health agencies, but instead serves as a pre-step that helps families expand their nursing search, increase nurse visibility, and improve nurse/family fit before care begins. Increased transparency and stronger connections help families and nurses build care teams that are the right fit for everyone involved.

Their mission aligns deeply with ours at S3Kit: helping families feel less alone as they navigate life beyond the hospital walls.

This initiative is all about turning movement into meaning. Whether it’s running, walking, hiking, or racing, participants raise funds to support families bringing home a child with a tracheostomy.

It all started with Lynn. After experiencing life with a child with a trach, she knows the strength it takes to navigate that journey. Through running, she found purpose and created a way to give back so others feel supported along the way.

This week is dedicated to raising awareness about tracheostomies, celebrating the strength of trach families, and helping others better understand life with a trach.

S3 Kit, Childhood Tracheostomy Alliance, and Hello Nurze are partnering together to help raise awareness and support for trach families through a special shirt fundraiser. Proceeds from every shirt purchased benefits the participating organizations.
