Update on Henry!!
First and foremost, thank you to every single person that came by the store yesterday to see this little guy, AND for all the amazing donations given for his care!! It was absolutely hysterical to have people come in and say that they were there to visit Henry. I wish I had gotten more photos of the visits!! He absolutely loved being cuddled and adored all day long. By the end of the day, he was absolutely tuckered out and slept like a baby into the evening. This morning, he had his first big bath and got all cleaned up for his big move into my dining room, where he has pretty much taken over.
This boy is so special and there is absolutely nothing that holds him back from living a very active playful life. He's 100% kitten.
Thank you again for your support of his care, and for all the prayers for his well-being. 🐾 🙏 ❤️

Those of us doing animal welfare work are drowning and beyond overwhelmed right now. If you are not in this field, you do not understand the volume of requests for help with pet surrenders, unwanted litters of kittens, help with vet care and requests for help to TNR colonies of cats. The need is far greater than the resources available to meet those needs. It is unrealistic to think, or even assume that the small number of rescues and shelters in our community can take on the full responsibility for the animal crisis that we are facing today.
The best thing that any pet owner can do to help this crisis is to spay and neuter your own personal pets, which is at the root of the problem. We also need people who are aware of colonies of cats to step up and help. Yes, we do have a trapping program, however, we are limited with the number of locations we can do at any one given time AND we have limited funds for this program If you're willing to learn how to trap, we can teach you and you can become part of the solution. Its really not that hard!! And, its fun! Its like going fishing!
Here are some great reasons why you should do spay and neuter your animals. Ambassadors for God's Creatures primary program is to help people with the cost to get your pet's fixed. 🐾

Two more kitties trapped at Melinda's colony tonight! Our team has successfully trapped a total of 10 kittens, and TNR 7 adults at this location. The kitties have been scared, around 10 weeks old and our fosters are working with them so they can be adopted. They are all doing great and becoming so affectionate!
Great job to our trapping and foster teams! ❤️ 🐾

Henry got some new toys and stairs today from our friends at IndyHumane, where we picked up pet food for our June distribution. He is very curious about the stairs and I think he's going to be using them in no time at all. He's getting a lot of exercise and I'm very hopeful that his legs may strengthen over time!!
Thank you, Heather and Lori, and all the great folks down at Indy Humane! We appreciate all you do for the shelters and rescues in Indiana! Especially having some great supplies for our foster program!
