Females Active in Business, a signature program of the Madison County Chamber, serving women in business in Madison County and the surrounding region. Building on the long history of Women in Business at the Chamber, FAB! is a reinvention and rejuvenation of a vital program, a refocusing on the core mission of providing a forum for networking, education, and inspiration that is unique to professio

nal women in and around Madison County. Working with some of the most dynamic and active members of the chamber, we asked what female professionals would like in a new women-focused program. The consensus was …

• More frequent meetings for relationship building
• Informative and/or motivational speakers on topics of interest specifically to women personally and professionally
• Lunchtime meeting that moms and out-of-town guests can attend more easily than early morning meetings
• Help raise awareness of non-profits that serve women and children in our region

Essentially, the “founding” FAB group wanted a program about professional women, for professional women, and that is FAB! While the programming is focused on women, men are welcome to attend FAB! Often business owners attend as vendors/table sponsors who exhibit at FAB (display tables are $59 and include lunch) because they see the value of marketing to professional women, the strongest buying demographic. Get to know FAB! by attending one of our events! Registration for monthly events is available online at www.getlinkedmadison.com or by calling MCC at (765) 642-0264.

Check out our NEW NAME!!

A lot can change over the course of 112 years.

In 1914, the Anderson Chamber of Commerce was founded with the mission of bringing together local business leaders to enhance the business climate in Anderson. Through the years, our organization has had many different evolutions, all with a focus on improving our operations and expanding our services and impact on the community.

As you may have heard, our latest evolution is taking place with the exciting announcement of our rebranding to the Madison County Alliance. This bold strategy is one that is meant to answer the question of how an organization continues to expand its impact after winning Indiana Chamber of the Year for 2024 from the Indiana Chamber Executives Association. In truth, this rebrand more accurately reflects all of the avenues of impact that the chamber is already making.

The Madison County Alliance signifies the joining of our chamber programs and economic development functions in a way that holistically improves Madison County. With new programs being launched like NextGen Workforce, we are taking new action on workforce and talent in 2026 to ensure that our businesses have the top-level workforce they need. This program will open new doors for Madison County students by connecting them with companies for internships, apprenticeships, and job-shadowing opportunities to enhance our talent pipeline like never before.

The creation of the Madison County Alliance Foundation will accelerate these efforts. Adding this piece will bring additional firepower in grant writing, research, and training opportunities that will allow us to expand operations while providing even more impact to the business community in Madison County. Whether it’s the crafting of a downtown vision plan, guiding a waterfront development, or training students on soft skills needed for employment, the MCAF will be a valuable asset to the community for years to come.

This new brand and the partnership with the Madison County Alliance Foundation are just a few of the initiatives we are excited to be involved with in 2026. Our past successes have shown that Madison County is a community on the move, and we are excited to be leading the way in innovative strategies and vision in making this region the best in the state!

Best regards,

The Madison County Alliance Team!

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

Six years ago, the Madison County Chamber Board of Directors took a chance on a firefighter with relatively little experience, but a whole lot of community ambition to lead this organization into the future. While we have had a tremendous run since then, it is certainly with a grateful heart that I announce my resignation as of January 1st with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to pursue a professional opportunity in North Carolina. While transitions can at times be challenging, they also present an opportunity for fresh visions, fresh viewpoints, and renewed energy into organizations.
I have no doubt that the all-star team of Patty and Rachael will continue to serve the business community with the same level of service you have all come to expect. After all, this is the team that has been awarded Indiana Chamber of the Year and 6 separate Excellence in Innovation Awards.
I’m also incredibly proud to share that the Madison County Chamber has never been in a stronger position, and the Board of Directors have outlined a transition plan for a national search for the next Chamber president that will build on the momentum we have established. More information about this search will be released in the coming weeks.
While this is an exciting time for my family, there are certainly mixed emotions. Brittanie and I have enjoyed so many great relationships and we will miss you all greatly, but we look forward to following along with the next chapter of the Madison County Chamber as we both have confidence it will continue to thrive.
Lastly, I will forever be grateful to the MCC Board, staff, and ambassadors for their faith and trust in me to fulfill our mission of continually improving the business climate and quality of life here in Madison County.

Best regards,

Clayton Whitson
