Celebrating a major milestone for California’s wetlands!

We were proud to join partners and leaders at the Sutter National Wildlife Refuge to celebrate the completion of a critical lift station project that will transform how water is delivered and managed across the refuge. This new infrastructure will provide a more reliable water supply helping ensure thousands of acres of wetlands can be flooded when they’re needed most to support migratory birds along the Pacific Flyway.

Projects like this highlight the power of collaboration. Through strong partnerships among Ducks Unlimited, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the California Natural Resources Agency, we’re improving habitat, strengthening climate resilience, and supporting the long-term sustainability of these vital ecosystems.

A special thank you to Bureau of Reclamation Deputy Regional Director Ed Young, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Director Paul Souza, Northern California Water Association President David Guy, and California Natural Resources Agency Secretary Wade Crowfoot for joining us to mark this achievement and for your leadership in advancing conservation across the region.

History made! We couldn’t do it without YOU!

HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE!

When it launched in 2019, “Conservation For A Continent" set an ambitious $3 billion goal.

Now, it has set a record, and we are completely in awe of what this community has accomplished together!

Together, Ducks Unlimited volunteers and supporters have generated an unprecedented $4.06 BILLION for wetlands conservation! A first-of-its-kind achievement for landscape conservation!

Behind every dollar raised and every acre conserved is a person who showed up. None of this happens without YOU! Every banquet ticket, every donation, every hour volunteered, it all added up to something the conservation world has never seen before. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

Here's to the wetlands. Here's to the waterfowl. And here's to the greatest conservation community on the planet!
