The Anderson Community Rejuvenation, Inc. (ACRI), was created in early 2021 when two concerned community activists, Ray Walker and W***y D. Turner, came together to discuss a need of the community and discussed what could be done to help the community rejuvenate to a time before the Covid pandemic when the community was interacting and fellowshipping. We were able to find like-minded folk who were willing to embark on a 5-year effort in which to assist and return our Anderson community to some of its former glory. Following the success of the 2021 events, we all felt that there was a need for MORE events that could bring the community together to fellowship.

We endeavored to have three one-day events during the summer of 2021 to gage the interest of the community for fellowshipping – June 19th (Juneteenth), July 17th, and August 14th. The events featured family softball, men’s fastpitch, women softball, and various entertainment. And thanks to Central Indiana Orthopedics, Aspire, and Crockett Carpet, we were able to provide the events free of cost to those who took part. Also, appreciation to Anderson Preparatory for allowing ACRI to utilize its property for those events.

Because of the overwhelming positive response from the community in 2021, the Anderson Community Rejuvenation Inc. has committed to three Two-Day events in 2022 and offer leagues for teens and adults at no cost if possible. Our theme will be for former residents to “Come Back To Anderson” and support it’s rejuvenation.

Leagues - Teens ($3500) & Co-ed ($4300)
Weekend Tournaments:
June 18 - Juneteenth Family Softball ($4597)
June 19 - Juneteenth Men's Fastpitch ($3832)
July 16 - Family Softball II or Corporate Challenge
July 17 - Men's Fastpitch Softball ($3832)
August 13 - Old School Ladies Softball ($4957)
August 14 - Men's Fastpitch Softball ($3832)
Total Budget - $33,087
