Hello everyone and Happy New Year 🎊
Urban Youth Services Inc is looking for help with a large family who is starting over from recent tragedy. There are several children ranging in sizes 3t to size 10 in clothes and sizes 5c to 3y in shoes. They are in need of everything clothes, shoes, underclothes and hygiene products. There are 2 boys and 4 girls(the parents said they aren't worried for self but their children need clothes for school and such), if u have any old but none damaged clothes and shoes and would like to donate please PM us. It doesn't matter what size the things are we are accepting all donations and will go thru everything give the family what they need and give the rest to others that may be in need. Thank you all in advance!!

This year we won't be having our Trunk or Treat Coat Giveaway! At the moment we are financially strained and haven't gotten any donations or any sponsorships. We apologize and will do what we can to make it better for next year!

Hello and good evening everyone!! So sad to announce
Colleges are no longer taking 7 & 8 grade students for tours anymore only 9th grade and only while school is in session! We are removing the students in those grades from our tour list and asking, would anyone like to have their 9th grade students attend a tour? We are currently waiting for Anderson High School to approve it as extra credit and or a field trip, (since it can no longer be over breaks) however we are putting together a list of eligible students.
Students must have:
2.8 gpa or higher
at least a C average
no more than 3 absences per semester
and hasn't had any suspensions (school or bus).

And tell us why your student should go and send us verification of all the requirements being met(we usually just need their grading cards, they hold most of the information we need and a letter from a principal or assistant principal stating if your students have suspensions or not).
Colleges are chosen at random, but we are asking you to send the colleges your student/students are interested in so we can add them to the list of tours to take! Thank you and we look forward to your student/students joining us as we get them excited to finish highschool and prepared for college!!!

Now that we have Back to School out of the way, our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat and Coat Giveaway is October 26th!!! We'll be collecting gloves, hats, scarves, new and gently used coats. Details on the drive coming soon!! Save the date!!

Yesterday was a great success, we want to thank all our volunteers and the community for coming out and sharing the day with Urban Youth Services Inc. . The 3rd Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway had an awesome turnout, we are more than happy to have serviced so many children as they are about to go back to school! We look forward to our next event and many more Back to School Events, thank you to everyone for continuing to support us we appreciate it very much!

Good day everyone, we apologize for the late notice however we will be at The Black Expo in Jackson Park July 27th giving out backpacks, snow cones and hotdogs. We will start passing out bags promptly at 2pm. Come out and join us to get your child a backpack, some vital information you may need and have some fun with us at this year's Expo!!
