🎉 Happy Adoption Day! 🎉

Today, Kindred Hearts is at the courthouse celebrating children as they officially join their forever families. 💙

We are honored to provide teddy bears to the kiddos being adopted today as a small reminder that they are deeply loved, celebrated, and supported as they begin this new chapter with their forever families. 🧸

Adoption is more than a single day — it’s the beginning of connection, healing, belonging, and family. We are grateful to stand alongside these families as they celebrate such a beautiful milestone.

We are so excited to jump into April alongside our families! The month of April brings something very exciting for all of us in Shasta County, and that is First Five Shasta’s Week of the Young Child! We are honored to partner with them for this exciting celebration. ✨STAFF SPOTLIGHT💫
Say hello to Mindy Pope, the Program Manager for the Kindred Hearts Wraparound Program!  

Mindy has worked over 32 years in the field of Health and Human Services and during that time, she had held many different roles...Senior Social Worker, FFA Administrator, Foster Care Licensing, Wraparound Coordinator and Program Manager to name a few.  She has worked for Children & Family Services/CPS, Tehama County Superior Court, Far Northern Regional Center, and the California Department of Health & Human Services.  

She was drawn to social work after conversations with a close friend who was majoring in the field at the time.

Mindy was drawn to Kindred Hearts after hearing many positive reports from foster and adoptive parents and professionals in our community, and the fit has been great! She has a heart for our families and the know-how to connect the team and lead with care. As a former collegiate athlete (and a Shasta College Athletics Hall of Famer) she combines the work ethic and drive of that world with the caretaking and kind heart of our world to create one incredible leader!
