Shout out to several youth students from Park Place Church of God for their help on Saturday during the annual Letter Carrier’s Drive! They worked hard and had lots of fun. Those donations were divided up amongst several local food pantries - including ours!

Today we said goodbye to our friend, Joe Womack. Joe served our food pantry with incredible dedication and passion for so many years, and it would truly not be the place it is today without him. You are so missed, dear Joe! 🖤

It's official! Mondays at the pantry are up and running. We're open from 12-2pm. (In addition to Tuesdays & Fridays 12-2pm and Thursdays 6-7:30pm)

Huge shout out to all the volunteers who came together and joined our Monday volunteer team, including several more not pictured here. We are so grateful to Professor Lopez and her Anderson University nursing students for helping us kick off our first Monday!

To keep Mondays running smoothly we'll need a few more people to join our volunteer team. Email [email protected] or call 765-374-4663 if you're interested.

It wouldn't be Christmas time without a visit and donation from the fabulous folks of Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling of Anderson! They really outdid themselves this year with a donation of 9,919 pounds of shelf-stable food - yes, that is almost 5 TONS of food! Thank you so very much, Summers! We are so blessed by your generosity.

Thank you Madison County Community Foundation! The food pantries of Madison County, including ours, are so blessed by your generosity!

Some of our neighbors are feeling the effects of reduced SNAP benefits, and local food pantries have seen an increase in families seeking help. In response, the Foundation has issued a $25,000 emergency grant to Second Harvest Food Bank to support food access across Madison County.

This grant is not part of our regular grantmaking cycle. Each year, we reserve a portion of our unrestricted funds so that when urgent needs arise, we can respond quickly and compassionately.

Our community takes care of one another.
We’re grateful to partner with organizations who are meeting families right where they are.

The local food pantries that will benefit from these funds are: Salvation Army Anderson, Alternatives, Inc., Pete's Pantry, Inc., Operation Love, Inc., Elwood Community Pantry, Park Place Community Center, Chesterfield Community Food Pantry, Lapel Community Food Pantry, Summitville Hope Center, Inc., Loaves and Fishes, South Madison Food Pantry, St. John's End of Month Meal, St. Mary's Church, Cross Roads GMC, The Gathering of the Queens, Inc. Jane Pauley (CHC Alexandria, Wigwam, Anderson, 1629) and OCC Bethlehem Food Pantry.
