SOS
Charles is heading BACK to the vet!
I really dont have the funds for this but this guy keeps on doing this!
His temp drops and he refuses food
We thought it was his teeth so last time he did this we had those done.
OBVIOUSLY he has something else going on so he is going to see Dr Tope today for xrays and bloodwork.
PLEASE if you can, help us pay his bill
He is going to be at Electric City Animal Clinic in Anderson SC all day
Their phone is 864-225-0015
Hay Monsters whole account is under my name Jules Donovan client ID 48855 and literally anything helps😪
Idk what is going on with this little man but his Darla needs him, we gotta figure it out!

Darla wanted to make a post about fundraising because wowee we have BILLS.... but she was too tired so here is her rage dreaming while I cry on the internet for money per usual 🙄

Can't get these rabbits to a dang thing round here!

Anyway we owe the vet and credit card a lot of money. Probably around 10k at this point because everyone keeps needing vet care and donations are low low

If ya cant help we get it! Please just share this post instead
Who doesn't wanna see a bunny dreaming anyway?!

Stacy needs a forever home yall!
This big beautiful girl has ruby red eyes and a gorgeous white coat.
She is a fantastic free roamer; respectful and social. In fact, you dont even need to waste money on a pen because homegirl will just escape it😆

She needs a home with a FRIEND because we don't send rabbits to live solo permanently.

Annnnd we are at the vet for Franklin today.
Either it’s an elaborate ploy for the Frönk to get mush or he legit has a toothache/abscess/I don’t even know.

What we noticed:

🚩 Excited for pellets but when given, won’t eat them.
🚩 Won’t let me massage the left jowl like usual.
🚩 White boogers from his left nostril.

I told him these are red flags, he said gimme more mush.
Canton Center Animal Hospital is a godsend for squeezing this freak in today for a tooth exam. He’s kinda like a VIP there since he goes every month. They adore him and we are so grateful for that.

Of course, that means he’s an expensive little fluff. Potentially today he is even more expensive. We are hoping for the best meaning just a normal trim but we could use some help.

Could you donate for Frönk? Even a little goes a long way.

You can donate with these platforms or call the vet (734-459-1400) to contribute:

Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/HayMonsters

Paypal: http://paypal.me/haymonsters

The Frönk thanks you. And I promise he will be given all the mush no matter what the vet finds.

I hate this update
Darla has a wicked UTI we are having trouble getting rid of.
Today I will bring ANOTHER tube of urine to run through MiDog.
This testing should be the most accurate and hopefully provide us with an answer on a rabbit safe antibiotic that will actually work.
Rabbits with hind end paralysis often end up with bladder issues. Since she cannot force her bladder empty on her own, I express it twice a day. But nothing compares to a rabbit emptying their own bladder when it comes to expelling the calcium they consume. The calcium begins to build up, creating a shield of sludge to protect the bacteria. Not only that but they typically drag that area on the floor meaning with litter boxes, lots of extra bacteria can easily find a way in.

We lost Biscuit and Vader to bladder issues, Caelan battled them often. Even Vi got UTIs somewhat regularly. There isn't much else in terms of prevention here besides what I do which is change out the pads and litter boxes frequently and express her bladder to help her clear the calcium.

^side note^Changing her diet to limit calcium will not only work, it can be detrimental to their health for obvious reasons.."Too much calcium" in the diet isn't typically a reason for sludge without underlying issues. So please I dont need any comments about her diet. She is on an appropriate diet for her.

If you can help, Darlas testing is $300, we paid that plus the $64.50 we owed for the last urinalysis.

More sanctuary re introductions!
Pearl and Doppler, snotty freaks
Pearl is the lop, she is deaf and she has dental issues and she has a chronic upper respiratory issue and she has EC flare ups sometimes
Doppler is our Magpie harlequin, he has chronic upper respiratory disease and he is, like, REALLY weird. Something wrong in the noggin with this one.
They've been married and divorced a few times, usually because of Pearl. But I guess we love a queen that knows her worth and demands to be treated well.
These two recently had their annual vaccinations and I guess couple that get their jabs together stay together or whatever
Anyway the (for now) happy couple says "HI and thanks for sending our stupid lady donations to take care of us because we cost her a lot of money!"

Chicken has been having family dinners with his friends (peep alumbun Petosky)

He is still too soon after neuter to be allowed to hang with them without the gate.. but soon🥰

8 weeks post op is good safe average to wait after neuter before trying to do bonding. Let them hormones chill and incisions heal up good🥰

Chicken is a sanctuary bun, but he has a forever home with sanctuary foster Kim. He will be getting his little teef done every few months, to keep him healthy for as long as he has with us. Chicken is around 10 years old and has some health issues, so no telling how long that will be.

What we do know is that it will be his absolute best life, with Kim, Petosky, and Bunelope🖤

Ghost is 6, she's a sanctuary bunny. Quark is 11, bundad got him off a street corner or somethin.

Quark is one of two rabbits left that he had when I met him. (Norman is the other one)

Rabbits are amazing. They can live to be so old and be so healthy and chipper the whole way. (Or they can die of a stomach ache at 2🙄potato potahto)

Ghost came in severely emaciated, dehydrated, acitve EC and pasturella infections. Her sister didnt make it. But Ghost is a fighter. Since then, this daddy's girl has turned into a 4kg bowling ball full of love (for him), gave us a big scare with a liver thing once, and bites me almost daily.

She has a fairy godmother in Chicago and she is the biggest Hay Monster we have!

I know a lot of you know Ghosty girl but I wanted to reintroduce her.

Fun fact: ghost was the intake that sparked the Spooky Buns. Every Cali I name something spooky for her. Comment if you adopted any of our Spooky Buns!!!!!👻

Pearl is getting her molars done today. I can always tell she needs them because she starts biting Doppler🙄I get it Pearl girl. I'm crabby when I have a toothache too.

Pearl has a whole list of problems but probably her most expensive is her teeth.

If you'd like to help pay her bill today, she is at 1-864-966-8490

She said thanks in advance stinky humans! Doppler said oh thank God she's getting her mouth fixed 😆
