Our friends at MoCo Mutts Rescue Center are in need of adoptions and have the cutest dogs! 🐕

They helped our county out when we were in need, now lets share for them to help them out!

Cold, hard truth: In order to continue welcoming and helping new dogs in our program, we must have adoptions. 😢
Right now, we are completely out of space. Every kennel, foster home, and available spot matters.
Please help us by sharing our adoptable dogs, telling your friends and family, and helping spread the word. Every adoption opens a space for another dog in need.
Adoptions save lives. When space is limited, each adoption gives us the ability to say "yes" to another dog who needs help.

🐾 Foster Kitten Update! 🐾

The kittens officially turned 4 weeks old yesterday! It’s hard to believe how quickly they’re growing. As many of you know, mama cats, Olive and Lorelei, gave birth on the same day, and "together" they are raising six beautiful babies. Watching them grow, play, and explore their world has been such a joy.

Today, Olive and her four kittens are headed to the vet for their very first checkup. We’re excited to make sure everyone is healthy and thriving as they continue to reach new milestones. Lorelei is scheduled for early next week.

As the kittens grow, so do their needs! We are running low on supplies and would greatly appreciate any help from our amazing village. Kitten food, litter, and cleaning supplies are always needed. If you’d like to help, our Amazon wishlist is linked below.

🌟 June is Foster a Pet Month! 🌟

Meet Poppy. 💕

When she arrived at Campbell County TN Animal Center, she was known as Pumpernickel and had a difficult road ahead. Not only was she homeless, but she was also heartworm positive.

Today, thanks to fostering, her story looks very different.

Instead of recovering from heartworm treatment in a shelter kennel, Poppy is spending her days in a loving foster home. She has a comfy place to rest, friends to keep her company (including feline ones!), and a family helping her through every step of her recovery. ❤️

This is exactly why fostering matters.

During Foster a Pet Month, we celebrate the people who open their homes to animals in need. Foster homes give pets a chance to heal, decompress, learn what family life is like, and simply be loved. For dogs like Poppy, fostering can mean the difference between surviving and truly thriving.

Every wag, every smile, and every success story starts with someone saying, “I can help.”

A huge thank you to Poppy’s foster family for giving her a safe place to recover and reminding us all what fostering is really about: saving lives, one pet at a time. 🐾

Meet Lyric! 🌙 She is around 2 years old and 30 pounds. Lyric is the perfect medium-sized companion. She's sweet, gentle, dog-friendly, heartworm negative, vaccinated, and waiting for a family to call her own. Available for adoption at the Anderson County Animal Shelter!

The last time we asked for your help, you all showed up in a big way. 💛 Let's see if we can do it again for Lyric!

We need your help!

Our posts are back to getting fewer and fewer views and shares. People just aren’t seeing them. The algorithm favors posts and profiles that have activity like comments, likes, and shares.

So, if one of our posts happens upon your feed, do us a favor, and interact with the post. That is the best way to get people to see the faces of these amazing dogs and cats looking for homes!

For example, look at Camero. He’s a dog that people typically think would get adopted quickly, and yet, he’s been available for adoption for weeks now. Where are our Aussie mix people? We know they are out there. They just haven’t been seeing his posts.

Camero is around 5 years old, UTD on vaccines, and on the schedule to be neutered. He has a lot of herding breed tendencies, so he would love people who understand him. He can get along with dogs but does do a bit of resource guarding. He needs someone who understands and can work with him.

Please stop by the shelter this week to meet him. Also make sure to like, comment, and share. There’s no reason this handsome pup should keep sitting at the shelter.

💙 The After-Neuter Vibes… 💙

Custard is giving us his best “I trusted you people…” look after his big day. 😅

He may not realize it now, but this little guy just became part of the solution. By being neutered, Custard is helping prevent future homeless puppies from entering shelters and rescues—puppies just like him.

And this is exactly why fostering saves lives.

When Custard was returned to the shelter, a foster family stepped up and gave him a safe place to land. Because of them, he was able to make it to his neuter appointment, avoid the stress of recovering in a shelter kennel, and spend his healing days surrounded by comfort and love. ❤️

June is National Foster a Pet Month, and Custard’s story is a perfect reminder that fostering isn’t just about providing a temporary home—it’s about giving animals a chance. A chance to heal. A chance to grow. A chance to find their forever family.

Thank you to Custard’s amazing foster family for seeing him through this important milestone and helping him on his journey. 🐾
