Project Miracle is a community based effort to promote awareness and support, to provide an interactive playground and baseball field for our area's special needs children, and to outreach to potential participants. The vision of The Miracle League of Covington County is an organized league for special needs children and adults where every player plays, every player hits, every player gets on base, every player scores, and every player wins – every inning.

The Andalusia Rotary Club Foundation stepped up to the plate last night and hit a GRAND SLAM for Project Miracle with a $10,000 contribution! This group will also partner with the Miracle League of Covington County to handle financial services. The Town of Gantt has committed to a 5-year pledge of $2,500 with $500 each year! This pledge now brings our total 5-year municipal contributions to a grand total of $70,000. Thank you, Gantt, Alabama!

We are very happy to announce that the Andalusia Rotary Foundation has agreed to handle the Project Miracle financial account! This will be a HUGE help to our effort! The Miracle Team would like to thank everyone who helped make our first official function a very special evening! The event raised over $3,000 and helped us get off to a great start!

We would also like to announce that municipal contributions thus far total $67,500 over a 5-year commitment period! The Town of Sanford was first up to bat ($5,000) and the Covington County Commission ($50,000) and City of Opp ($12,500) finished out the top of the order! Who is going to bat clean up for this team? We have challenged every municipality in the county to make a pledge to contribute at least some amount for each of the first five years. If your city or town has not joined us yet, please encourage their support!

Good Morning, Miracle League supporters! The final numbers are in from our Kick-off event and we wanted to share the great news. A total of $3,145 was raised for Project Miracle... $1,755 from ticket sales and $1,390 from the silent auction! We are off to a great start! Thanks once again to all of you who helped make the night a very special one!
