The dumpsters the county commission has placed at fire dept was in good faith and a service to our community. With that being said it is not for digging through and leaving things on the ground. It is also not our responsibility to pick up things cause you will not place it in the dumpster. This is placed on our property to the community to use but there is concrete bags poured out , glass, other trash all over the ground. If you see anyone digging please let someone know or call 427-4911 and report it. We wanna encourage everyone to use this area but also be respectful and keep it clean.

Absolutely devastating aftermath of lastnights structure fire. Please keep the family in your prayers, as you can see from the pictures, the residence was a total loss.

Please pass the word along, the residence is going to burn and smoke for several days. As you can see from the pictures, the last few hot spots are under the collapsed roof. Red Oak doesn't have any equipment to remove the tin roof to be able to extinguish the remaining hot spots. Red Oak will be keeping an eye on the residence to make sure nothing gets out of hand, but for right now the hotspots are contained under the tin and inside of the burned off area under the residence. Thank you

Red Oak VFD had the privilege to be awarded two separate grants from Wiregrass RC&D this year. One grant was for equipment that we needed to assist or firefighters on calls to make their jobs alittle easier, faster, and safer. The second grant was for new bunker gear for our firefighters, the new bunker gear replaced ten year old gear that we had. Our firefighters sacrifice their time to help our community and surrounding communities with any emergency that comes up, without hesitation. We really appreciate the honor of receiving these two grants from Wiregrass RC&D. It was definitely needed and very appreciated. Thank you again Wiregrass RC&D
