Today, we recognize the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who lead by example both on the job and at home.
Whether they're teaching the next generation the value of hard work or showing up for their families after a long day on the jobsite, fathers build strong families and stronger communities.
To all the dads of UA Local 367, we thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and the example you set every day. Happy Father's Day from UA Local 367! πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈβ€οΈ

On June 10, 1963, the U.S. passed the Equal Pay Act, a major milestone in labor and civil rights history. The law made it illegal for employers to pay women less than men for doing the same work, marking one of the first federal efforts to directly address wage discrimination in the workplace.
At the time, women across industries were often paid significantly less than men, even when performing the same duties and working the same hours. The Equal Pay Act helped set a legal foundation for challenging that imbalance and became a key stepping stone for broader equality movements.
It remains one of the most important early labor reforms in the push for fair pay in the United States and its effects are still part of ongoing conversations about wage equality today.

πŸš‚πŸ› οΈ Labor Fact Friday πŸ› οΈπŸš‚
In June of 1935, over 1,000 unemployed union workers in Canada climbed aboard freight trains in protest during the β€œOn to Ottawa Trek.”
The workers were demanding better pay, safer conditions, and dignity after being forced to work in government labor camps for just 20Β’ a day during the Great Depression. The movement became one of the most famous labor protests in Canadian history.
