USCG Captain Culpepper departed District 17, sector Western Alaska and U.S. Arctic, to assume the role of USCG Director of Law Enforcement, Maritime Security, and Defense Operations in Washington D.C.

ABSI and APIA expressed appreciation for his leadership and collaboration with Bering Sea and Aleutian communities over the years. We also welcomed new USCG Captain, Joel Carse, to Alaska and Karen introduced the region briefly.

We are so grateful for all the work the USCG does for communities supporting numerous search and rescue missions, responding to environmental disasters, and keeping our borders safe! 🇺🇸
