The results are in! AMA held its annual elections for our Board of Directors this spring and we have changes to share!

Welcome to our newest board member, James Greeley of Tommaso Shellfish, and thank you to everyone who participated in the election, whether as a candidate or voter.

While this picture from February doesn’t include all of our current board members, it’s fitting as we say we also want to say a big thank you to Lia Heifetz of Barnacle Foods, whose term ended in March. We appreciate your work to support and grow Alaska’s mariculture industry!

The Alaska Sea Grant seat on our board also changed hands this spring. We are excited to welcome Melissa Good as a new director, and send many thanks to Ginny Eckert for all of your support!

Our directors recently held elections for officer roles on the board - find our directors’ new roles on the board on our website: https://alaskamariculture.org/board/

School lunches are known more for soggy fries and pizza than salad and wild caught fish. But in Petersburg, students are eating fresh ingredients every day.
