Hello Everyone!

We wanted to share some good news with you all this morning!

The Food Bank of Alaska informed us that since the start of COVID mandates/lockdowns back in March, members of HOPE worldwide in Anchorage Alaska, The Great Land Christian Church, UAA, and other community members have volunteered over 1,820 hours and attended over 50 volunteer events for the Food Bank alone! These hours do not include our other volunteer opportunities with the Citywide Cleanup, assistance for seniors, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and so on!

We are so grateful for the hearts of our volunteers, who dedicated their time to serve those in need during such a hectic time. Through our time volunteering we have learned more about our community and have built/deepened lasting relationships with one another and our community members

Thank you all so much for your hard work and commitment to making a positive difference here in Anchorage! YOU are such a light. As we have said before, we believe that in order to change the world, we first have to start in our corner of the world

Stay tuned as we continue to find ways to serve our community!

โ€œNever doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.โ€ -Margaret Mead

Great way to give back!

In a year unlike any other, we hope to provide more Thanksgiving cheer than any other. With your help we will be serving over 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to men and women experiencing homelessness and hunger over this Thanksgiving holiday.

And we need turkeys! Lots of them.

You may drop off your donations of turkeys and food items at one of two locations:

Bean's Cafe- 1101 East 3rd Avenue. It's open from 9 am to 3 pm daily - even weekends.

Jewel Lake Tastee-Freez located at 3901 Raspberry Rd # 1. It's open 11am - 9 pm daily.

Or, make an online donation today.

Because we cannot invite volunteers into the shelter this Thanksgiving, please consider a direct financial contribution, or donating a turkey. We are also in need of donations of potatoes, dinner rolls, stuffing and fresh vegetables.

Although we have discontinued the Beanie Box project, please consider assembling pantry packs for The Children's Lunchbox. These food boxes feed a family of four for a single meal.

Your support provides a traditional Thanksgiving meal, a place out of the cold, and a full helping of hope.
