Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for our final AKRID/ADC/AKSDHH joint summer hike!

The weather turned out perfectly after some back and forth earlier in the week and we couldn’t be happier. It was a stellar day and the views at Basher Loop Trail were phenomenal! (All photos shared with permission.)

There’s been a lot of positive feedback about the hikes, so keep an eye for more coming in the fall! If you have any trail suggestions, please message us. We’d love your ideas on where you want to group hike next!

Our second summer social hike is nearly upon us! We will be hiking the South Fork Falls Trail on Friday, July 10th from 1 - 4pm.
(The date was changed to take advantage of Friday’s better weather.)

This trail is kid friendly and only about 1.2 miles. There are two there-and-back paths to follow, one to the outlook and the other to the falls.

Parking is limited, so carpool if you can! Also be prepared to pay a $5 parking fee or have an Alaska State Park pass.

Also, this event is not only for ADC/AKRID members or AKSDHH families. This is open to the community, as well. We hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who joined ADC, AKRID, and AKSDHH on our first social summer hike last month! It was a bit wet, but here in Alaska there’s no wrong weather—just wrong clothing. We all still had a blast!

We’re looking forward to our next hike happening this Friday (7/10). The flier will be posted soon. Hope to see you there!
