Unsah Jan -  Substance Abuse & Suicide Prevention Unsah Jan, meaning "first day" in the Dena'ina language, is Cook Inlet Tribal Council's Substance Abuse & Su***de Prevention Program.

Unsah Jan provides comprehensive and holistic prevention services to young people ages 10-24, with a focus on Alaska Native/American Indian and LGBTQ youth. The Prevention team uses evidence-based best practices including ASIST, SAFETalk, QPR, SurvivorVoices, and the American Indian Life Skills Development Curriculum to provide education, training, and cultural awareness activities to youth-serving organizations throughout the community.
