2026 SUMMER OPEN MAT, STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

👥 Open & FREE to all Anchorage School District student-athletes entering grades 7–12.

Looking to get stronger, more athletic, more confident, and better prepared for your next wrestling season?

Join the Dimond Wrestling coaching staff this summer for eight weeks of wrestling instruction, strength training, athletic development, and performance training.

📅 June 15, 2026 – August 15, 2026

📍 Dimond High School Wrestling Room & Weight Room

🔥 MAT MADNESS 2026 IS A WRAP! 🔥

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wrestlers, parents, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the 2nd Annual Mat Madness in the Midnight Sun Camp a success!

👏 Thank you to every camper who showed up ready to learn, work hard, and get better. Over the last three days, you pushed yourselves, learned new skills, built confidence, and most importantly got 1% better at your craft.

👏 Thank you to our coaching staff and volunteers who donated their time, knowledge, and energy to help develop the next generation of wrestlers.

👏 Thank you to the parents who trusted us with your athletes and supported them throughout the camp.

This camp continues to grow every year, and our goal is to DOUBLE our numbers for the 3rd Annual Mat Madness Camp in 2027! 💪

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible Wrestling Moms out there — especially our AFWC Moms! 🌸🤼‍♀️

Today we celebrate the women who make this sport possible behind the scenes every single day.

The moms who:
• Wake up early for tournaments
• Stay late helping clean gyms and mat rooms
• Pack snacks, lunches, singlets, and gear bags
• Sit through long weekends in crowded gyms
• Comfort tough losses and celebrate hard-earned wins
• Handle the tears, nerves, bruises, and emotions that come with wrestling
• Volunteer, fundraise, drive, support, and sacrifice endlessly for their athletes

Wrestling is one of the toughest sports in the world, and it takes strong families to support strong wrestlers. The truth is — wrestling moms are built different.

At Anchorage Freestyle Wrestling Club, we are beyond thankful for the love, patience, toughness, and support our moms bring to this program every single season. You are a major part of why AFWC continues to grow stronger year after year.
