Finally, it bites but about time!

A well-known homeless camp on 3rd Ave. and Ingra St. is being abated by the Municipality of Anchorage after it served 10-day notices to those who live in the area.

I have been saying this and dealing with this for years...

The Midtown Community Council is poised to pass a resolution critical of the city and asking for more enforcement.

And, still here.. finally was able to get in touch with CAP team to get some answers. I hope clean up is soon, this is really getting old :(

Update, I reported this camp on July 27th, they were posted August first to move... yesterday was abatement and Tomorrow the cleaning crew shows up to remove the camp. I can't wait! Just bites the wheels of justice turn so slow!

Un-believeable, wth does it take to get these illegal campers out of the park? If I did this I would be arrested :( Reported again for 3rd time this week and just talked to two neighbors who called this in too.

TBOP Update, so posted the last "New campers" in the park on Friday 7-27-18 also reported to APD Cap team via muni/org as is law now.

Procedure: After abatement and posting the camp/campers have 10 days to evacuate and clean up. What I don't get is, as of today Wednesday 8-1-18 they still have not been posted, are still camping "IN The Park", No abatement and no plans to leave anytime soon. What?

Why do I work so hard for this and why does the problem just get worse as the Days, weeks, summers, years keep on ticking along. I have been doing this for over over 30+ years now and the last 10 for TBOP and my neighborhood. Wow..

VERY Frustrating!

Last night 7-27-18 I came home from work, to watch these folks set up camp? In the middle of the park that is clearly posted NO CAMPING? WTH? Reported!
