Calling all local artists out there! Please see this wonderful opportunity to create your own art and interpretation of the subject and show them what you got! 👍

Your art could become part of Anchorage’s daily view! 🎨 We’re launching a new public art initiative to bring original artwork to our bus stop signage. We’re looking for designs that celebrate Anchorage’s identity, honor the Dena’ina people as the original stewards of this land and reflect the spirit of our community.

Three finalists will each receive $1,000, and one winning artist will receive $4,000 and have their artwork featured on 680 bus stops across the city in 2026.

The first round of submissions is due Nov. 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. AKDT.

Growing our organisation to be able to serve more, even more effectively is essential.

The choice is not between growing and not growing.

The choice is between growing and perishing.

Some members shall be lost, almost inevitably, each year. We need to get a few more new members each year than those that are dropped.

Growing Lions International is not an option if we want to expand the legacy of service.
