Yesterday's 10-12 Baseball game between Palmer and Dimond West was postponed due to rain and will be played tonight at 6:00 PM. The winner of that game will meet AOR tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the championship game. Since this is a double elimination tournament, if AOR loses tomorrow, the "if necessary" championship game will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM.

I hope Marley made it to their game on time!

Ten-year-old Marley was pretty excited when Officer Coates showed up on the side of the Glenn Highway to help with a flat tire. Marley now knows how to properly place a jack, loosen up those lug nuts, get the flat tire off, put the good tire on, and tighten up the whole thing so the tire doesn’t come flying off in traffic like they do in the movies. 💙

As we start the AllStar season today. I just want to remind everyone this is for the kids and the last thing they want to see or hear is the adults in their lives behaving badly.

Soldotna Little League has a challenger division, they would love more kids for next year! As always they are in need of more volunteers as well!! This season they played on Saturdays so families from all over our district could potential participate!! Please check them out and reach out if you are interested!!

Tonight Alaska Little League for the 2023 summer season came to an end.
I am so proud of the Alaska teams in both Softball and Baseball!! We had a great tournament season in Alaska and at the Regional tournaments!!

Dimond West Junior softball girls took third in the West Region tournament held in Tucson!! Then the Dimond West Little League baseball boys took second in the Northwest Region tournament in San Bernardino!!
I cannot be prouder of these players and all the players this year in Alaska!!

On top of these accomplishments,Soldotna Little League held a challenger division this year. This is the first challenger program in Alaska District 1. I look forward to seeing them grow the program next year!!!

I am so proud to be able to support District 1 leagues, teams and players as the DA. It has been a great 4 years and I look forward to the next 4 years being just as wonderful!!!
